David Aplin Group, one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client in the monitoring and data analytics industry to find a talented Senior Full Stack Senior Developer to join their team in Nova Scotia.

Reporting directly to the Software Development Manager, this individual will bring proven experience in collaborating, prioritizing, planning, and writing strong code. Responsibilities:

• Assessing the feasibility of designs and suggesting alternative approaches
• Implementing front end user interface components, forms, and pages
• Creating backend Web API’s and data processing systems
• Building and maintaining unit tests and automated UI tests
• Perform substantive code reviews
• Diagnose and debug issues in a production environment with a focus on data pipeline logjams
• Write high-quality code according to industry best practices
• Proactive problem solving and collaboration with remote coworkers
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience or demonstrated ability to learn the following technologies: Front-end: HTML5, CSS, Typescript, Angular, and Bootstrap Back-end: .Net/C# Database development: SQL Server and MS Entity Framework
• Broad knowledge of various front-end frameworks and web development tools
• Experience building RESTful web services and web front ends that consume them
• Experience with Test Driven Development will be considered an asset for this role
• Experience with Docker and GIT
• Knowledge of big data analytic framework, techniques, and tools
• A strong eye for UI/UX design best practice
