BCAA is looking for a Regular Full-Time Senior Amazon Connect Business Analyst!

Please note that this role is based within the Burnaby, BC and will have a hybrid work environment model.

The Senior Amazon Connect Business Analyst is an operations leader and subject matter expert with experience in implementing new and future technology projects, with a focus on business processes, team member and customer experience. Collaborating with various business entities, you will be responsible for understanding business critical objectives and translating them to actionable technical solutions.

As part of a team responsible for delivering enterprise Cloud Contact Centre solutions, you will possess a diverse skillset with responsibilities that includes engagement of stakeholders, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, training and post deployment support.

Working alongside Solution Architects, Technical Architects, Developers and Vendors, this role will collaborate on design, configuration, customization, integration, testing and deployment of large-scale enterprise solutions all while learning and growing your skill set.

Key Responsibilities & Subsequent Duties

Business Requirement Analysis

  • Leads and collaborates on current and future technology projects to support BCAA’s digital transformation
  • Establish relationships with internal and external partners to co-create the vision, goals, structure and governance to develop and implement technology roadmaps including ongoing enhancements by leveraging operational knowledge, customer journeys, data and insights
  • Understands how business strategy drives requirements and investigates strategic opportunities that information technology may afford the business areas.
  • Actively participates in the collaborative process of planning and implementing projects, programs or functions for the various business divisions including the establishment of success criteria and metrics (KPIs), and the development and implementation of change management and communication plans
  • Researches industry trends and provides business thought leadership to promote, develop and implement technology projects that supports an amazing employee and customer experience
  • Co-develops new projects and initiatives, partnering with technology and functional leaders to deliver enterprise-wide operational improvements that enable our people, processes, and technology to achieve our corporate goals
  • Communicates requirements with developers, architects and vendors through project lifecycles utilizing documentation techniques/artifacts.

Project Coordination/Team Leadership

  • Liaises with business areas, to prioritize system work requests (bug fixes and enhancements) by focusing on value derived from work and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure timing deadlines and divisional needs are met.
  • Monitors the daily progress of assigned tasks and prepares for scheduled meetings
  • Ability to add value to all levels of discussion with key business stakeholders from idea inception through to execution

Administration

  • In collaboration with project teams, technical leads, and key stakeholders, determines project and business objectives, and success criteria and metrics (KPIs) by reviewing business functions, gathering information, and evaluating options
  • Identifies and defines business and technical requirements with focus on people, processes (current vs. future state) and technology
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity, managing risks and issues, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
  • Recommends audit controls and supports with written procedures

Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration, computing systems or management information systems or equivalent experience
  • 7 years total experience with 5 years in a Business Analyst function
  • Strong innovation skills and a proven track record of driving innovation that contributes to the successful execution of BCAA’s corporate objectives.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings and consensus building.
  • Ability to work both independently and with other team members
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Familiar with formal software testing approaches & methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon Connect platform
