Rentals Warehouse Manager

• Responsible for the overall organization of the staging rental warehouse and yard
• Responsible for organization, maintenance, inspection, preparation and loading/unloading of staging rental inventory
• Responsible for the overall safety in the warehouse and yard area
• Responsible for all shipping and receiving including third party shipping
• Assisting Scene Shop Manager in pulling, inspection, preparation and loading/unloading of scenic elements as needed
• Responding to and dealing with customer and vendor communications by email and telephone
• Maintaining accurate and up to date inventory stock control systems
• Planning future capacity requirements
• Completing full and accurate documentation of all work performed
• Ensuring all shop equipment is maintained and in safe working condition
• Developing, following and maintaining quality control standards and procedural guidelines
• Developing and fostering a positive, professional and team-oriented atmosphere
• Responsible for other duties as assigned

• Five (5) years of professional warehouse management experience, rentals warehouse would be preferred but not necessary
• Two (2) years of college or technical trade school preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Extensive working knowledge of warehousing inventory software - Scene Ideas uses Flex Rental Solutions (http://www.flexrentalsolutions.com/)
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Must possess a counterbalance forklift ticket
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to drive a five (5) ton flatbed and enclosed box truck
• Must exhibit the skills to manage crew efficiently working on multiple concurrent tasks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capacity to establish priorities and work under pressure
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to liaise well with others and delegate tasks
• Problem-solving and attention to detail

• Must be able to lift and carry seventy-five (75) pounds
• Must be able to climb and work from a ladder and personal lift
• Must have the vision and dexterity to safely operate stationary and portable power tools and hand tools

• Starting rate is between $25 and $30 / hour based on experience
• Schedule is based on a 40-hour workweek
• Office hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with evenings, weekends, and overtime on as necessary
• This position will primarily take place in our office/shop in Richmond

• International applicants not currently residing in BC or holding valid work permits will not be considered
