RECEPTION SUPERVISOR

Universal Properties (UPL), a division of J.D. Irving, Limited is seeking a full-time Reception Supervisorlocated in Dieppe, NB. The ideal candidate will be a professional, customer-focused individual with a can-do attitude. Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills and attention to details are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and organize workflow ensuring that employees understand their duties, delegated tasks and expectations of their role on the reception desk and within the UPL team.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide coaching, training, guidance, and motivation to the team. Manage day to day issues that may arise within the team.
- Set goals and deadlines that comply with the company’s vision, strategy, budget and high-level goals.
- Act as liaison with other divisions/UPL departments and reception team. Participate in company leadership and annual budget preparation.
- Own and manage team task list and reception processes. Organize and chair weekly team huddles and quarterly team meetings.
- Approve and monitor staff coverage and absence tracking.
- Perform a variety of administrative duties for the various companies within the building as requested.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration/Business or equivalent is required
- Accounts Payable and Receivable experience considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in a supervisor role or combination of education and experience
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic working environment with multiple tasks and priorities
- Leadership skills with a keen understanding of the importance of professionalism and customer service
- Organizational, time management and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving
- Excellent communication skills with ability to energize, guide and mentor staff
