Destinationone Consulting is looking for a Project Engineer for our client in Burnaby, British Columbia.

About Our Client

The client is an award-winning environmental consulting firm being part of Canada’s Top 100 Small and Medium Employers. It is based in Burnaby, British Columbia.

About The Role

As a Project Engineer, you are expected to bring in your engineering expertise to the project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage studies for remedial options, treatment system upgrades, storm water infrastructure, landfill closure techniques, and air contaminant sources among many others
• Work on a design team for remedial systems, chemical injections, barrier walls, treatment plant components, and landfill covers
• Prepare and review the monitoring reports, audit findings, technical reports, design briefs, specifications, tender documents, and contracts
• Manage schedule, budget, and staffing for projects
• Travel to sites to observe site conditions, oversee staff and contractors, and conduct field reviews

Requirements

• Graduate of a degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering discipline
• At least 8 years of experience in environmental consulting or related industry
• P. Eng. Designation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High aptitude for engineering design and project management
• Strong time management skills, enthusiasm, positive, and problem-solving mindset
