About The Role

Trimble Applanix is currently recruiting for a Product Assistant Intern. In this role you will be assisting Technicians and Professionals in Applanix’ Production department responsible for Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management and Facilities Management.



What You Will Do
  • Assists in the set-up, assembly, calibration, test, inspection, and packing on a variety of electrical components and circuits, instruments and electro-mechanical assemblies following generally defined operating procedures and technical specifications to confirm performance against standards.
  • Performs electronic, mechanical & electro-mechanical assembly, parts installation and prepping
  • Comply with workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
  • Archiving Production travelers / QA inspection records
  • Test and re-configuration of electronic assemblies at incoming QA inspection
  • Production finished good packing and prepping of materials
  • Picking and assembling bills-of-material sold as kits for direct shipment
  • Supply Chain: cycle-counting of parts /inventory management
  • Stockroom materials re-organization
  • Assist in movement of boxes during site renovations
  • Assist in Health & Safety audits and addressing issues


What You Need
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows OS
  • Ability to lift 18kg
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
