PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

As a member of our Purchasing Team, you will join a group of dedicated individuals within our Operations Group. You will work closely with cross functional team members to ensure all Purchasing related activities are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sourcing of materials, supplies, and/or equipment
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing or stocking requirements
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Update and maintain ERP System with order details (dates, vendors, quantities), master data items for Suppliers and Items
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Communicate with cross functional departments ensure all products arrive in good condition and discrepancies are noted and corrected
Reporting of Purchasing related Metrics monthly
To provide support and work with the Supply Chain Management Team to achieve company/departmental Initiatives and Goals
Work to achieve individual Goals and Initiatives
Continuous Process Improvement
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Previous experience in Manufacturing environment
Proficient understanding of supply chain procedures and ISO Quality Management System operations
Excellent Computer Skills. Experience with EPICOR ERP Systems or similar
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Solutions based approach to problem solving. Focus on Continuous Improvement
Experience in Logistics, Import and Export Requirements and HS Tariff classifications
Familiarity with General Accounting Procedures and Business Processes
Professional Procurement designation or APICS certifications CSCP, CPIM, SCOR or equivalents or working to achieve
Familiarity with Out/Near Sourcing activities and order structures
Lean or Six Sigma experience in manufacturing environment
3-5 Years min directly related experience
