The Job Planning/Logistics Coordinator is a key planning, coordination and communication role within the company. The coordinator plans and oversees all the logistics and supply chain functions of our business, including job planning, inventory management and shipping and receiving. Based in Mission BC, Tricanna is a licensed cannabis processor operating in the highly regulated Cannabis Industry. This requires the successful candidate to have an aptitude for accuracy and superior attention to detail, as well as the ability to maintain high personal standards in quality, compliance, safety and service execution. The Job Planning & Logistics Coordinator possesses the organizational tools, communication skills and capabilities to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to help improve the flow of products through our facility on a regular basis.

The successful candidate requires or must have the ability to get security clearance for the cannabis industry.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess Cannabis industry experience or who have experience working in highly regulated environments (large scale food manufacturing facilities or the pharmaceutical Industry).

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a role that demands critical thinking, communication and a high degree of organization. The main areas the role encompasses are:

Forecasting and planning

· Liaise with sales and the management team to ensure efficient forecasting, planning for accurate production execution of all upcoming jobs.

· Create the work forecast and work plans.

· Assist with job planning, , organizing job materials, and maintaining job tracking spreadsheet.

· Process order changes, cancellations, or additions and communicate this information to related departments.

Shipping and receiving

· In collaboration with sales arrange accurate and timely shipping and delivery to provincial and retail customers.

· Coordination of shipping and receiving to and from our facility, including liaising with shipping companies and customers/suppliers.

· Assists in incoming shipment receipts and outgoing shipment preparation as required, i.e. Boxing, pallet wrapping, etc.

· Shipment preparation i.e., Create BOLs, build and wrap pallets, Chain of custody, etc.

Inventory Management

· Maintains and updates physical inventory. The coordinator is responsible for accurate record keeping documentation, as well as assistance with post-processing work instructions reconciliations and post-production inventory counts. This includes performing cycle counts (weekly, periodic, month end, and year end) and maintaining accurate inventory records in SYSPRO. Assists with month end inventory reconciliation.

· Manages PPE inventory counts as required and maintains stock levels based on job forecasting. Monitors and replenishes PPE inventory.

· Facilitate the receipt of inventory and products arriving at our facility.

Syspro ERP, and Monday.com

· Enter jobs into SYSPRO.

· Create stock codes in SYSPRO.

· Creates and updates structures and routings in SYSPRO

· Creates jobs (pick lists, material reservation, etc.) in SYSPRO

· Reviews and posts finalized batch records SYSPRO in a timely manner.

· Manages creation, approval and printing of all in house variable data labels. Receive, sort, design, print and distribute product labels.

· Participate in the planning, implementation, and expansion of the usage of: SYSPRO ERP system, Monday.com workflow management platform.

Liasion

· Liaise and answer enquiries from sales.

· Assist with inquiries and coordinate incoming work orders.

· Be the go-to person in the production department for other departments.

· Assist and coordinate replies to internal customers and suppliers.

Production area maintenance

· Assist with general production area cleaning and maintenance duties, including facility repairs and maintenance. Including assisting with equipment cleaning and maintenance duties, when required.

· Assist with additional duties as assigned by Management and Production Lead Hands as required.

Other duties may be assigned as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Aptitude with various internal computer systems, in particular Microsoft Office (word, excel, teams, outlook), Monday.com and SYSPRO.

· Minimum 1 year experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment, (cannabis industry experience is preferred).

· Knowledge of GPP as outlined in the Health Canada Cannabis Act.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to complete tasks calmly with accuracy, while working in a high-pressure environment to tight deadlines.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with all types of people face to face.

· Strong analytical and mathematical ability.

· Team player with the ability to follow-up

· Positive attitude.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Solid knowledge of relevant Health Canada regulatory standards.

· Must be able to qualify for and obtain a Health Canada Security Clearance.

· Mandatory criminal record check.

· Must be able to lift 20lbs.+

· Must be comfortable with heights, use of a ladder will be required daily.

· Willingness to obtain First Aid and Forklift Driver certification.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Strong time management and organizational skills.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Apps, including Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.

· Experience using Nice Label software (or other barcode label creation

· software) is an asset.

· Quick learner with ability to troubleshoot when required.

· Experience using SYSPRO ERP Software is a definite asset.
