Robert Half is looking to fill an open Payroll Clerk position for a growing company who will support the Payroll department in a variety of duties. This role is based in the Maple Ridge, British Columbia region. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to work with an industry leader on a career path with growth in this challenging position. The company is a dynamic, fast-growing team, looking for someone who can communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk’s job duties include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a long-term contract employment role.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Administer and distribute reports as instructed
• Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system
• Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc
• Make sure data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate
• Build and run custom reports
• Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals
• Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements
  

Requirements

• Ability to easily learn new systems
• 1+ years of previous payroll experience
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
• Payroll software experience
• Experience with Approved Timesheets
• QuickBooks experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Data entry experience preferred
• Full Cycle Payroll experience
• Strong time management and organizational skills
