GFL Environmental is looking for a Network Architect to join our growing team out of our Vaughan Corporate Office! The Network Architect will collaborate with highly innovative teams to put designs and solutions into use to deliver our large enterprise applications to the business.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, passionate, demonstrates ownership and is excited about troubleshooting and architecting designs for our enterprise. If you are a Network Architect/Engineer and are highly skilled, self-motivated, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills, then come and join the Green Machine!

Key Responsibilities

• Providing Pre-deployment solution design and consulting to our business stake holders working with the our various IT Teams
• Collaborate senior architect to implement, share and present network designs
• Experience and ability to architect, implement, test and support networking and security solutions in our environment
• As part of an engineering team, develop programs and standards for development of junior technical resources
• Provide L3 and above escalation support for our solutions
• Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures
• Assisting in operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems
• Escalation point for monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
• Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems
• Identify automation and gaps that require optimization within the network designs
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Competencies

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and certifications
• 5+ Years of experience in designing and implementing of network solutions
• 5+ Years of experience in technical consulting and project leadership
• NSE4+, CISSP, CCNP/DP+
• Virtualization technologies
• Proficient in Fortinet, Cisco
• Experience presenting and articulating solutions to prospective IT teams
• Experience working with Vendor SE teams a must
• Data Centre Networking, NSX
• Enterprise Networking
• AWS/Azure Cloud Networking
• Next Gen Firewall
• SIEM/SOAR
• Identity and Access Management Solutions
• Network Access Control
• Wireless
• SDN
• Scripting and Automation
• XDR
• SD WAN/SASE
• Possess the ability to manage your time effectively and work in high stress environments
