JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator fulfills an essential administrative support role in relation to Your Neighbourhood Credit Union’s (YNCU) marketing communication channels, aiding branches sales objectives and the overall achievement of departmental plans and goals. The incumbent utilizes strong computer, writing and proofreading skills to compile, format and prepare information and correspondence as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using technology based systems and desktop publishing, produce a variety of documents such as online content, correspondence, reports, forms, marketing materials, spreadsheets, user guides and support documentation
  • Complete and process administrative forms and other documentation as required
  • Process and coordinate correspondence for mass mailings to members, and manage contact databases in accordance with applicable YNCU policies and legislation (e.g. CUMIS home & auto mailings, investment share mailings)
  • Provide monthly marketing calendar on intranet and to staff and act as branch support on these initiatives, as well as other staff updates on intranet
  • Manage third party deliverables to branches (CUMIS, Collabria, CCUA, etc.)
  • Send all Wealth Management deliverables through compliance and track approvals
  • Manage expenses and invoices and keep budget tracking spreadsheet
  • Coordinate marketing print portal with updated materials and approve orders
  • Execute deliverables for marketing campaigns including changing signage, printing assets, and emailing creative to media
  • Draft marketing materials and advertising in line with overall marketing plan for supervisor review and approval, as required
  • Solicit print quotations for externally produced materials and advertising
  • Assist with ensuring branches are adequately supplied with marketing materials, and that all materials are current and compliant
  • Assist with proofreading marketing materials
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, executing and participating in Credit Union events
  • Provide support to YNCU’s social media function as required
  • Provide assistance with launch, analysis and recommendations resulting from member surveys
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of policies, procedures and applicable legislation as they pertain to the operations of Marketing
  • Abide by YNCU policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practice
  • Work safely in accordance with YNCU’s Health & Safety Policy, procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act as amended from time to time
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary diploma, degree and/or certification in Marketing, Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a marketing/sales support role with proven results
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices
  • Experience working in a financial institution is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and understanding of technology (online task managers, budgets, secure file sharing, etc.)
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and available reliable vehicle
  • Ability to travel to all YNCU locations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, at times
  • Must be bondable
