Your opportunity

Reporting to the Vice-President Strategy & Operations (Atlantic) BDO’s Management Consulting practice is looking for a Manager, Strategy & Operations to join our growing national practice. This individual will be responsible for contributing to the practice growth and delivery of our Strategy & Operations services.

  • Manage and develop a high-quality team working directly with clients to solve complex business problems in various areas including of planning, business performance, benchmarking, performance management, portfolio management, business process development, market research and service / product development.
  • Drive and lead client engagements from inception to close, using your business acumen and professional experience to generate insights and create value
  • Support and extend the coverage of BDO’s Management Consulting Practice across its targeted industries (e.g. Financial Services, Manufacturing & Distribution, Not for Profit, Public Sector, Agribusiness and/or Energy & Natural Resources, or you own unique industry depth)
  • Build trusting relationships across BDO’s diverse teams of business service professionals, including a deep local and national network of specialists in Tax, Accounting, Financial Advisory, Digital Technology and Legal Services
  • Develop business opportunities with new and existing BDO clients individually and as part of cross functional sales pursuit teams, including thought leadership and marketing innovation to grow your and BDO’s presence in the local business community
  • Participate in internal industry- and service-based functional teams to progress national practices and leverage achievements across geographies
  • Develop informative, compelling, and persuasive client-facing project deliverables, presentations and collateral materials using your command of publishing resources (including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, Collaboration Tools, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business and/or related field, or equivalent experience (MBA is an asset)
  • Preferably a minimum of 5 years as a management consultant, experienced working with clients to solve problems to identify and engage critical stakeholders, identify opportunities, improve performance, address growth challenges, set and/or support strategic direction
  • Verifiable track record providing management consulting experience in strategy & operations.
  • Verifiable track record of achieving revenue targets through business development, managing complex projects on time and budget, and leading cross-functional teams with soft-skills
  • Professional designation is an asset. (CMC, PMP, CPA, MBA, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma etc.)
  • Bilingualism: the mastery of spoken and written English is an asset
