Service New Brunswick is seeking multiple individuals to join the Human Resources and Pay Business Support team within Enterprise Services Division as Business Support Analysts.The SNB Enterprise Services Division provides enterprise services to all Government of New Brunswick departments.

The Government of New Brunswick (GNB) is committed to transforming how it manages its operational business units and finances. GNB’s goal is to modernize its business processes though the implementation and operation of an Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) solution over the next 10 years and more. TheBusiness Support Analysts will play a role in the efficient and effective delivery of technology and business solutions needed to meet GNB’s evolving business requirements and improvement of processes.

These positions are part of a multi-disciplinary and highly skilled team assigned to creating and supporting innovative strategies to help transform GNB service delivery through the ERP Cloud platform.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

TheBusiness Support Analysts will work with IT and client stakeholders to troubleshoot and implement solutions using Oracle’s Fusion Cloud products.
  • Provide support and subject matter expertise to support the Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits Team in relation to ERP, as driven by operational needs.
  • Work with various stakeholders to gather, document, and understand operational problems, analyze different alternatives, and propose functional solutions (including diagraming current and future state analysis, gap definitions, standard operating procedures and contributing to business continuity, service level agreements, work plans and business cases).
  • Support and advise system users on procedures and best practices in addition to identifying and addressing and/or escalation of emergent issues.
  • Produce and analyze reports and dashboards for operations related key business drivers, benefits, outcomes, measures, and contributing to project planning, issue, change, and risk management processes.
  • Managing operational testing for various system changes and supporting end-users with quality assurance processes as it relates to the functional, integration and user acceptance testing, troubleshooting and issue resolution as required.
  • Provide input to the ERP program to assist Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits Team in the adoption of new business processes, including analysis and identifying areas for improvement and/or areas where gaps exist.
  • Provide Oracle fusion training to new and existing employees of Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits Team.
  • Develop expertise in how the ERP Solution works across multiple business operations.
  • Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of operations.

Essential Qualifications

Junior Business Support Analyst (Pay Band 4):

A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or in another related discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience with guiding businesses in improving processes OR a two (2) year College Diploma in a related discipline with a minimum of four (4) years related experience with exposure to analysis of organizations or business domain and documentation of their business, processes, and supporting systems.

Business Support Analyst (Pay Band 5): A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or in another related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience with guiding businesses in improving processes OR a two (2) year College Diploma in a related discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years related experience with exposure to analysis of organizations or business domain and documentation of their business, processes, and supporting systems.

Senior Business Support Analyst (Pay Band 6):A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or in another related discipline and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience with guiding businesses in improving processes OR a two (2) year College Diploma in a related discipline with a minimum of eight (8) years related experience with exposure to analysis of organizations or business domain and documentation of their business, processes, and supporting systems.

Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.

Some positions require written and spoken competence in English while others require written and spoken competence in English and French.

Asset Qualifications

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Business Analyst Management Certifications such as IIBA-CBAP, PMI-PBA, IQBBA.
  • Experience in documenting existing business processes and developing new business processes to support the implementation of new technical solutions.
  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating workshops to elicit requirements.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or with a large Enterprise Resource Planning Solution in areas such as Human Resources, or Payroll.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (waste walk, yellow belt, green belt, black belt, or master black belt).
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications to be given further consideration.

Operational Requirements
  • This position may require travel within the province, so applicants must have a valid New Brunswick driver’s license.
  • Some weekday evenings and/or weekend work hours may be required.
  • Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Junior Business Support Analyst:

$54,002 - $ 75,530 annually- Pay Band 4- Management and Non-Union Pay Plan

Business Support Analyst

$61,828 - $86,372 annually - Pay Band 5 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan

Senior Business Support Analyst

$71,812 - $95,550 annually - Pay Band 6 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan
