Junior Collections Specialist

GFL Environmental is looking for a Junior Collections Specialistbased out of our Vaughan Corporate Office! This position is responsible for a pre-defined list of AR customer accounts and the timely collections of those accounts, with an emphasis on building successful internal and external relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying escalation opportunities to ensure timely collections, of current billed invoices
• Maintain the accuracy of the information retained for that customers, terms, customer defined billing requirements etc
• Month End consolidation and completeness of departmental tasks
• Seeks new ideas to improve efficiency in completing own work
• Support reporting processing
• Customer Credit Card processing
• Various projects to support the AR and Accounting teams as required
• Outgoing calls up to 100 per day
• Comply with all company policies, procedures and directives from management

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Basic Accounting Knowledge
• Intermediate Excel
• Internal/External Customer Service
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Bi-Lingual English/French is considered an asset
