Job Description:

The role of the Recruiter involves locating and RECRUITING host families based on Red Leaf’s quality standards, selecting and orienting host families before the students’ arrival, monitoring homestay placements during students’ stay, and responding to any incidents for short and long-term homestay requirements in the region.

In addition, the candidate will work with the Homestay team to ensure a consistently high quality of service in delivering homestay experiences.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• RECRUITMENT, selection and orientation of host families for short and long-term student placements.

• Collecting and filling out all necessary documents for each host family to ensure families meet the criteria to host and have completed a recent police background check.

• Attend host family orientation sessions and address all questions Host Families may have

• Monitoring homestay placements during students’ stay

• Completing monthly reports and necessary incident reports

• Growth and management of the host family database

• Providing guidance and support to homestay families

• Working with the management team to ensure consistency and quality in service

• Must inform families of any important program details, and times they need to attend or pick up or drop off their student

• Ensure that all families are available for pick up times and if not make sure arrangements are made for each student to get home

• Ensure that each family has shown their student how to get to and from school for the first day

• Handling of daily inquiries by host families

Work Experience required

• Experience in the sales, travel and/or education fields

• Any type of youth and counseling work is an asset

• Position will require someone willing to take calls and follow up with hosts outside of standard work hours or in emergency situations as necessary

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
