Health and Safety Coordinator:

Paramount Safety Consulting Inc. is seeking motivated individuals that are confident, passionate, dependable, and competent in the field or planning to start a career in Health and Safety, to join our team of professionals.

As the successful candidate, you will be part of a team that practices proactive solutions to ensure that all health and safety legislation is adopted, maintained, and promoted at all our client workplaces and worksites.

As one of our professional team members you will provide assistance in enforcing policies and procedures as well as planning, training, monitoring, and reviewing the protective and preventative measures required by the Occupational Health & Safety Act, its Regulations and WSIB requirements.

Assist management and employees with workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures

Perform H&S Orientations

Pre construction Meetings

Safety Talks

Review existing policies and procedures and update according to legislation

Assist with the development and review of job hazard assessments

Field Level Risk Assessments.

Post Secondary Degree

Enrolled or planning to enroll in a Health and Safety training from a local college will be considered an asset.

Conduct Site Audits and Inspections

Must have reliable transportation

Salary: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post Secondary education in Health & Safety, Business or related field;
• A minimum of three (1) to five (5) years work experience in a similar role
• Must be able to travel to various client sites as required.
• General knowledge of health & safety, WSIB, and training
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point);
• Must be able to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization;
• Strong analytic, problem solving and judgment skills;
• Excellent oral and written skills, strong communication skills
• Highly organized in prioritizing work, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines with composure within a fast paced work environment;
• Extreme attention to detail;
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, in a collaborative team based environment;
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual will be considered an asset however not required for this position.
