Position Purpose

The primary responsibility for this position is to oversee, implement and provide expert direction on financial planning and analysis processes. This individual’s goals are to develop, enhance and manage specific planning processes for the organization and will plan and provide support or training for the organization when necessary. This individual will also work closely with decision makers in multiple departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support new policies, processes, procedures and best practices, if required.

Key Job Activities

• Responsible for providing financial insight and decision-making support to sales leadership and senior management through monthly forecasting, financial analysis, long-range plans, and the annual budget. Performs financial analysis of sales results, including trends and comparisons to historical, budgeted, and forecasted results. Communicates results to management in the form of standard and ad hoc reports.

• Partners with and supports business leaders to ensure all parties in the decision-making process are well informed.

• Leads the monthly forecast process. Obtains inputs/data from various business units, challenges inputs when necessary, identifies variances from expectations and provides a summary of issues to senior management.

• Supports key commercial finance control activities including credit policy, standard contract terms, and collections policy.

• Supports the implementation of the company’s new ERP system. Partners with the implementation team to ensure key success of key processes and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Education equivalent to Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics required. Possession of a Master’s Degree in Finance or Business Administration preferred.

• Two to five years of work experience in financial planning and analysis demonstrating superior spreadsheet modeling and presentations skills along with robust knowledge of MS Excel.

€¢ Experience With ERP Systems Required.

• Demonstrates experience interfacing with Marketing and Sales departments is a plus.

• Demonstrates broad academic and practical understanding of finance concepts such as NPV, IRR, etc. Demonstrates the ability to develop productive relationships with senior management and peer groups within the business units.
