Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (former Heartland Health Region ) is looking for a full-time permanent family physician to join an established group of family physicians in the community of Kindersley. The incumbent will be responsible for providing anesthesia, clinic shifts, outpatient, inpatient, emergency, long-term care, and on-call services to residents of Kindersley and surrounding area. Candidates will also have the opportunity to mentor medical students training in Kindersley.

Kindersley is a vibrant community located in the west central part of Saskatchewan, close to parks and lakes and numerous recreational activities. It is located along Highway 7, the third most traveled highway in Saskatchewan, and a major east-west corridor linking Calgary and Saskatoon. Agriculture, oil and gas are the main industries. Kindersley’s small-town atmosphere, ample employment opportunities, and community vitality make it a great location for people of any age to live, work and raise a family.

Job Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a Diploma in Anesthesia or have completed an additional year of Anesthesia training post Family Medicine Residency, must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and have current Canadian Medical Protective Association.
