Your Opportunity at BioScript

As a BioScript Enterprise Architect , the successful candidate will help drive our future state enterprise centric IT architectures and remain up to date on latest technologies, standards, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment. This role is responsible for leading the design of the enterprise technology architecture to power business strategies. This includes a focus on designing and extending a modern technology ecosystem and architecture across legacy systems and emerging areas, including digital platforms, mobile platforms, modern data architectures, integration architectures, and cloud architectures. As Enterprise Architect you will work with a range of team members including domain matter experts and interface with business leaders to understand and empower teams to meet their business challenges through technology solutions.

This is a full time permanent opportunity based out of Moncton, NB or Oakville, ON.

You will be accountable to:

  • Develop an enterprise architecture strategy, that supports data and leading technology related investments across the organization;
  • Participate in regular reviews of business unit operational performance, recommending technology enabled improvements where appropriate;
  • Develop technical product and capability roadmaps and implement programs, leveraging TOGAF and similar frameworks;
  • Support, facilitate, and champion a culture of innovation;
  • Research, monitor industry trends, evaluate, and onboard relevant technologies to mature enterprise architecture;
  • Support the work to develop technical capabilities, solutions, and tools built in a patient centric manner;
  • Recommend innovative and digital strategies to further BioScript’s effectiveness with digital products, and processes that achieve revenue gains, operational and regulatory requirements;
  • Leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization.
  • Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.
  • Schedule and facilitate Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings and the associated work;
  • Leads and facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide EA decision making.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives;
  • Participate in enterprise risk and disaster recovery planning;
  • Establish credibility and gain trust and build client relationships advising senior client executives on delivering technology solutions.

Your experience includes:

  • 3 or more years of experience in modern application, digital, and systems architecture design and development;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field is required;
  • Project management experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders;
  • Prior experience leading enterprise architecture functions and building capabilities from the ground up;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading strategic change management initiatives impacting people, process and technology;
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues and experience leading a team of leaders and subject matter experts;
  • Knowledge of the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with exposure to application development and deployment, data, integrations and cloud architectures; including but not limited to
  • Excellent leader and collaborative team player who is flexible, adaptable and results oriented; and,
  • Experience in creating architecture views using industry standard enterprise architecture frameworks.
