As ATB’s next Disaster Recovery Analyst, you will work with all IT teams and business units to analyze, plan and implement recovery strategies for business applications and functions. You will ensure that the processes and procedures for recovery are effective, comprehensive, tested and meet ATB’s recovery objectives. You will be responsible for addressing any gaps identified in the Disaster Recovery Plans and Runbooks.

  • Execute operational functions related to the Disaster Recovery Services across the organization
  • Maintain the disaster recovery plan which includes:
    • Coordinate with application and operational teams on the creation and maintenance of DR plans, DR Runbooks
    • Review all existing plans to ensure they are complete, current, and all process steps are validated with the correct technical resources
    • Evaluate current processes and procedures for inefficiencies and make improvement recommendations
    • Coordinate on all audit activities as well as external regulators and third parties in relation to DR
  • Provide DR support, analyze and implement DR processes for projects and initiatives
  • Support and conduct DR tests for the continuous DR testing model to ensure application and system resiliency
  • Assist during the third party DR risk assessment and reviews of the vendor DRP, BCP and SOC reports
  • Coordinate with the IT applications and technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, and maintained
  • This role must be prepared to be on call at any time, and will also be periodically expected to work off-hours to support IT disaster recovery test activities

Requirements

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in science, computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Academic qualification or professional training or experience in disaster recovery, business continuity are also desirable

Experience

  • 6+ years of general IT experience with a minimum 3 years of experience in Disaster Recovery role
  • Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices
  • Must have experience in planning, coordinating and executing Disaster Recovery tests and exercises
  • Must have experience in Business Impact Analysis and IT Service Management practices
  • Must have in-depth working knowledge of network, firewall, servers and databases
  • Knowledge of operating systems like Windows, AIX, Linux
  • Must have experience in VMware, Site Recovery Manager
  • Ability to understand complex architectural designs including designing basic solutions
  • Knowledge of SAP Application Services (Banking Services, Payment Engine, CRM, Portal, PI/PO)
  • Must have Cloud environment experience, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred
  • Understanding of risk management with experience in reporting risk metrics
  • Strong communication (verbal & written), analytical and interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate and coordinate large group of resources
  • Ability to manage pressure and remain calm under unexpected circumstances
  • Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) certified preferred
