Our client is revolutionizing the way the world interacts with their products. As one of the few stocking distributors of over 65,000 unique SKUs, they hold a highly competitive position in their marketplace.

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Shared Services who will report to the President and bring best practices and innovation to key areas of Finance, IT, and Facilities.

Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting

• Oversee all financial activities including analyzing financial reports and projections to provide insight and perspective to the President.

Information Systems and Services

• Take overall responsibility for internal IT support and external IT vendor relationship management.
• Plan, design, and architect systems to manage a wide range of organizational data.
• Develop capabilities to take big data and convert it into valued business analytics and implement industry best practices related to data management, security, and governance.
• Contribute to the growth strategy and the development of a digital marketplace.

Physical Infrastructure Management

• Lead initiatives in physical and cloud technical infrastructure.
• Oversee the Facilities Team and manage both warehouse operations facilities safety and security.

Leadership Accountabilities

• Facilitate employee development, contribute to talent pool plans, and advise the President.
• Understand the capabilities and effectiveness of your team and participate fully on the Leadership team.

Experience:

• Working knowledge of finance, principles of accounting, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Working knowledge of data governance and master data management best practices.
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure, systems, and security, including standard applications and unique line-of-business critical applications.
• Working knowledge of facilities and physical infrastructure is a plus (ability to learn).
• Ability to communicate and work collegially across the organization and lead cross-functional initiatives with a proven ability to conduct needs assessment and needs analysis within and/or outside the business.
