Cybersecurity Analyst

ACENET’s central mission is to help researchers get their research done more efficiently. We do this by providing access to advanced computing resources, and by making those as easy to use as we can.

ACENET is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst in Atlantic Canada to support the implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures across our research computing services, with duties extending nationally through ACENET’s partnership with the Digital Research Alliance of Canada (the Alliance).

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that ACENET’s research computing services and related projects have a level of security that is appropriate, evolving, and meets the requirements of ACENET’s academic and commercial clients and stakeholders. The Cybersecurity Analyst will participate in the development and implementation of new technological solutions, and will be responsible for assessing and testing the security of these solutions. The analyst will work closely with the Alliance’s security team, which sets national policies, standards, procedures and guidelines for the federation.

This position will appeal to a motivated self-starter and relationship-builder comfortable in both academic and industry settings, with responsibilities extending throughout Atlantic Canada, and nationally.
