• Journeyperson Cook Certificate
  

Experience

Previous: Six (6) months on-the-job experience in order to become familiar with timelines, special diets, large quantity food production and department policies and procedures.

• Valid drivers license, where required by the job

Additional Information

• An interview may be requested.
• The successful candidate shall be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector query as a condition of employment.
• Part Time Employees: scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period. May consider hiring individuals without the required qualifications who will be required to complete the Journeyperson Cook Certificate within seven (7) years at his/her own expense as a condition of employment. Unqualified applicants would have to meet the following criteria:
• Professional Cooking Certificate or equivalent preferred, including the completed Cook
• Online Upgrading Pilot.
• Food Safe Certificate
• Possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above
