Title:Compounding Technician (NOC: Category B)

Location:Richmond Hill (L4C 5H2)

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Midnight

Schedule:12:00 AM to 08:00 AM (Candidate should be flexible with working on any days as per business requirement)

Work Week:Friday to Tuesday

Salary:$47,710/Year

Job Summary

The Compound Technician is responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) processes and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Instructions are followed to safely produce quality batches through the verification and addition of chemicals to batches, and documentation of batching activities.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Machine Set up: Setting up manufacturing equipment
  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Repair machines following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Assembling & Disassembling machines as a part of equipment maintenance
  • Ability to adjust equipment, valves, pumps and process equipment for maintenance.
  • Safety: Safely operate all required equipment
  • Processing Batches: Effectively process batches within specifications
  • Testing & Recording: Ability to perform test, record data, carry out statistical process control on process operations and populate/write production log.
  • CIP & SIP: Understand & operated automated systems CIP & SIP systems with the use of Human Machine Interface/Computerised control panels as per applicable procedures.
  • SAP: Execute applicable SAP transactions accurately
Preferred Skills
  • Compounding in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in using automated CIP & SIP systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilise computerised /automated systems, computer software packages including e-mail, Excel, Word
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Facilitate the exchange of information among the team during bulk manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)
Physical Demands
  • Able to lift between 5 to 20 kg and must be able to bend, reach, push/pull mobile equipment, bulk tank for duration of shift
Qualifications
  • College
  • Experience in general manufacturing (Assembly & lifting)
  • Ability to work with tools, equipment, assembly and disassembly operating Human Machine Interface (HMI).
  • Attention to details in dispensing and calculations as this will have significant impact on quality to avoid batch rejection.
