Co-op

An adaptable team player with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, you will be part of the DMCN Production Engineering (PE) team for this work term. The main purpose of this department is to introduce new equipment, tooling and processes for the support of new products as well as kaizen (continuous improvement) activity to existing processes.

During this work term you will be assigned to support various Production Eng. activities and tasks such as: root cause analysis of problems, machine capability studies, equipment layout, jig & fixture design, poka-yoke (mistake proof) controls and programming.

Competence in CAD software (Auto-Cad and/or SolidWorks) is preferable.

Additional required skills such as proficiency in MS-Office, solid organizational and communication skills.

This specific Co-op term is ideally suited to students currently studying in either the Mech. Eng. Technology or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) P rograms and are preferably available for an 8 month term.
