Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Civil Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

• Design and plan production on a wide variety of civil infrastructure projects, including watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, sanitary forcemains, water and waster pumping stations and treatment plants, site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities.
• Perform quantity calculations.
• Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed.
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed, but project management is not the sole focus of this position.
• Supervise, mentor, train, and support professionals, technicians and junior staff as needed.
• Work with team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved.
• Review and edit CAD designs in order to provide guidance to design engineers.
• Prepare sketches and designs in CAD and Civil 3D.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years experience in general civil engineering.
• Experience in the design of water and wastewater linear infrastructure (i.e., watermains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, sanitary forcemains) including water and waster pumping stations and treatment plants is an asset.
• P.Eng.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications in Civil Engineering such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Siteworks, Hecras, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentations.
