Carpenter’s helpers, hard working dedicated construction labourers and Carpenter Apprentices with experience in residential building wanted. Looking for trade labourers, siders and skilled/experienced finishing carpenters.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing residential construction company building Custom and Spec homes in the Courtenay, BC area of expanding land and building developments.

• Opportunity to obtain Carpenter Red Seal with qualified sponsor and training through the ITA BC program.
• Competitive wages, incentives and benefits after 6 months with F/T hours completed.

• Full time with part-time opportunity available to Apprentice candidates with obligations for training/schooling toward their Red Seal Certification as required.

• Willingness to work safely and adhere to work safe policies and procedures on and around the job sites.
• Must be able to work well in a supervised crew environment, independently and efficiently.
• Must be able to follow instructions, direction and communicate well as a team member.

• Must work well in and thrive in a fast-paced environment where various tasks are required with skill sets to meet the needs in construction of residential building.
• Must be reliable and dependable with a vested interest in residential construction. Serious applicants only with a keen sense of care and attention to detail while in a position with opportunity to learn and develop various carpentry skills.
• Positions vary with experience and skills of the trade; foundation to finishing’s, interior and exterior.

• Applicants must be residing in the local area and able to read, write and speak fluid English.
• Applicants must have previous carpenter and/or residential construction experience and strong willingness to work. Successful candidates demonstrating these traits and skillsets will have the opportunity to develop and expand your skills with on the job training and mentoring.

Benefits available after 6 months completed.
Full-time hours: 40 per week; starting at $22 to $32 depending on level of experience and time on the job.
Expected start date: As soon as possible

Salary: $/ hour to be negotiated, depending on level of experience and years of experience.
