Summary

Reporting to the Program Director of Emergency, Medicine and Regional Stroke, you will provide secretarial support to three of the program’s Clinical Managers. Duties include scheduling meetings and managing calendars, taking minutes at meetings, preparing spreadsheets and maintaining data files, and other administrative duties to support the program leadership team. You will handle confidential information and assist with corporate projects and goals. Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary School, plus 3 years senior secretarial experience in a health care facility or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Diploma in Business Office Management with a focus in Health Care is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in accurate minute taking
  • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and Project)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Pro essential
  • Proficiency in keyboarding minimum of 65-75 wpm.
  • Knowledge of OTN scheduling through N compass, and equipment set up essential
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize work in a busy setting, set objectives and manage time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to foster good working relationships with physicians, hospital staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and reliability and ability to maintain confidentially.
  • Flexibility in work hours essential
  • Medical Terminology essential
  • Knowledge and experience with creating and compiling results of staff performance appraisals using Survey Monkey.
  • Experience with creating web pages on lotus link.
  • Good attendance record
