The Role at NFP

As an Accounting Coordinator at NFP, you will be assisting and working alongside the industry’s best accounting professionals to manage the full-cycle accounting process. This includes but is not limited to analyzing balance sheets, managing general ledger accounts, recording commission statements, and assisting with month & year-end closing activities. You will also gain exposure to and assist with accounting projects as they arise from time to time.

What You Bring

  • An accounting degree and/or diploma from an accredited institution is strongly preferred
  • Entry-level/intern to 2 years experience in financial services industry preferred; insurance industry and asset
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Some knowledge of full-cycle accounting procedures is a must along with a high degree of concentration
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment
  • Strong time management, organizational, and ability to consistently meet deadlines unsupervised
  • Quick learner and comfortable in an uncertain/changing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
