Maple Ridge Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is an AutoCanada dealership.
We are searching for an Accounting Clerk to join our growing team! Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting Team. The position will be responsible for aiding the accounting team and facilitating accounting activities within the dealership.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable including the posting of daily transactions, reconciliation of accounts, and follow-up on outstanding accounts.
  • Processing payable invoices and payments according to company policy.
  • Ensuring timely preparation of monthly invoicing for assigned operating groups in a high-volume environment.
  • Assisting with other accounting functions and duties and special projects on an as needed or required basis.
  • Ensuring validity, integrity and accuracy of input data.
  • Assist with journal entries.
  • Prepare bank deposits.
  • Assist with posting deals.
  • Daily and monthly reconciliations.
  • Contributing to the month end closing process.
  • Participating in and providing feedback regarding implementation of internal processes and procedures.
  • General administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • A high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
  • Dealership experience would eb considered an asset.
  • Experience with CDK software would be considered an asset.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to interact with internal clients, key vendors, and employees.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks and meeting required deadlines.
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced working environment, frequently under urgent deadlines.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
