Looking for a support worker for a friendly outgoing, social young man with unique needs who has a developmental disability.

This young man always requires a 1-1 worker for support. The posiiton is 4 days a week, 8 hrs a day.

Activities he enjoys are a variety of experiences . Sometimes forest or beach walks in quieter areas . He also enjoys social recreational and community activities and also regularly participates in a day service.

‘This young man does best with a regular staff that stay the same throughout the week.

This position is best suited to a staff who is reasonably physically fit. Training and orientation provided but experience supporting individuals with disabilities would be helpful.
You would be comfortable working alone, liaising with family daily but also enjoy work as part of the day service team.

A person who has an ‘upbeat’, easy going, relaxed personality who likes outside activities and is comfortable setting and reinforcing boundaries about touch in a friendly and consistent way would be an ideal candidate for this position.

You will need

· Vehicle and full drivers’ license (no ‘N’ no ‘L’),

- Cell phone (we use text for booking shifts)

· Clear criminal record check

- Current First Aid and CPR - if not then proof of registration and take within1st month of hiring.

· Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 - (we still have a health mandate in place in our sector.)

· Clear TB test
