Sanexen is currently seeking a Project Manager to join its MAJOR PROJECTS team of dynamic professionals at our worksites across Canada (Qc, BC, Prairies and Nunavut). We are looking for the right individual who is driven and enjoys a challenge working on various types of worksites.

This is an opportunity for the right person to demonstrate their LEADERSHIP SKILLS. You would be responsible for ensuring all tasks are conducted with DILIGENCE and IN A TIMELY MANNER.

Your New Responsibilities

• Management of site work, keeping project scope on budget and on schedule;
• Coordinate with all required project resources (internal and external) to develop execution deliverables;
• Understand the client’s objectives, as well as the project scope, budget and timeline;
• Provide updates on key metrics related to assigned task(s), including schedule, quality, safety, incidents and risks
• Ensure the client’s understanding of the project’s technical scope;
• Ensure a review of the contractual clauses and resolve litigious points as needed;
• Ensure that contractual modifications and change orders are documented and clarified with the client and project manager;
• Drafting and technical review of all deliverable documents;
• Be aware of and approve the selection of guidelines, standards, regulations and laws applicable to the project;
• Ensure the technical and budget monitoring of the project with respect to the timeline and obtain client approval if adjustments are required;
• Ensure that internal procedures are followed throughout the course of the project;
• Ensure that a suitable health and safety plan is established and complies with Sanexen’s established requirements;
• Carry out site inspections;
• Work in marine environment (environmental dredging, work near water, etc.)
• Coordinate project activities as required to achieve task(s) goals.
• Share knowledge with team members;
• Conclude agreements with subcontractors;
• Participate in the elaboration and estimation of complex proposals.
  

You Have The Right Credentials

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the management of projects related to the characterization and remediation of contaminated sites or work in a marine environment or a related field;
• A university degree in engineering, geology, environment or another related field. Combination of experience and education may also be considered;
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Fluent in French would be considered as an asset;
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Ability to draft excellent quality documents;
• Good communication skills and teamwork;
• Show a sense of initiative and leadership skills.
