POSITION LOCATION / WORK ARRANGEMENT:
This position is located in Ottawa (ON). However, the successful candidate may work from the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver office. Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements, this position requires physical presence (in-office work). The option of teleworking is available on a part-time basis in accordance with OSFI’s Directive on Telework.

Duties

The Project Manager, reporting to the Director, Cyber Security, will lead organization-wide Cyber Security projects/initiatives, in accordance with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) project management, systems development (SDLC), and change management life cycles, including the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, resource requirements, budgets and schedules.

Compensation: OSFI offers a competitive salary, and employees may be eligible for in-range increases and economic adjustments. Salaries are based on qualifications, experience and knowledge. The Public Service Pension Plan is a defined benefit pension plan (indexed for inflation), where both the employer and the employee contribute.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this process is to fill one position on an indeterminate (permanent) basis on a bilingual imperative (CBC/CBC) basis. If no bilingual imperative (CBC/CBC) appointment can be made, a bilingual non-imperative (CBC/CBC) appointment may be considered within this advertised appointment process.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
  • A degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution with specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience and education.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in project management and/or portfolio management in the field of Information Management and/or Information Technology.
  • Experience leading cyber related or highly complex projects from inception to close, in accordance with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and change management life cycles.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining partnerships with vendors and/or contractors, business clients, senior management and/or other stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations to stakeholders of all levels, including senior management.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Product Suite including but not limited to Microsoft Project and Visio.

ASSET EDUCATION
  • A relevant professional designation or certification in project management, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
