Medicine Hat College invites applications for program development experts for the School of Business and Continuing Studies. The SMEs will work in collaboration with the Dean, the School, and the Centre for Innovation and Teaching Excellence team to establish a Marketing & Social Media Analytics course for the new Data Analytics Diploma Program to be delivered in Fall 2024. This project is to be completed by June 2024.
A little about the role:
You will be responsible for producing course(s) content and elements as listed below:
- A course outline consisting of learning outcomes, readings/materials, and course requirements in alignment with the course description.
- Complete text for online content (as this will be placed in our learning platform Blackboard), including an introduction or overview for each topic/module/week in the course.
- A fully built and recorded module covering course content for each week in the course.
- Student Learning Outcomes by topic (unit, section, module).
- References listed by topic (unit, section, module) and any required copyright clearance.
- A weekly Blackboard discussion guide, and all assignments and exams, with answer keys and rubrics.
- Evaluation guidelines consisting of: grade distribution, explanation of assignments/exams, marking criteria and general recommendations.
Details:
As a successful applicant you’ll have:
- A Master’s degree in a related field. An undergraduate degree in a related field combined with professional qualifications and significant data analytics experience will also be considered.
- Teaching experience and course/program development experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively and make positive contributions as a team member.
- A commitment to student success.
