The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure track faculty position. Applicants should have or soon receive a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field. If the applicant is not already a member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec, the university requires they agree to become a member.

Selection criterias

As a new professor, you would join the Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics and Industrial Control Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. We are seeking applicants proficient in oral and written communications, and who collaborate well in a team environment. Areas of interest include all aspects of Electrical Energy Engineering and Power Electronics, for example:
Modeling and control of smart grids,
Renewable energies,
Processing and conversion of electrical energy,
High voltage applications,
Modelling, design and control of electrical machines for energy production or vehicle propulsion applications.
While establishing your research program, and you would be coached in seeking industrial and government funding, and in recruiting and supervising graduate students in their research. The position involves teaching in French at the undergraduate and graduate level. Non-francophone candidates are offered the means of acquiring and perfecting French language skills during the first three years of employment.

Child care is available on campus and professors are eligible for parental leave.
