Production Worker

Overall Job Purpose:

Working closely with the Team Leads and Plant Technicians, the Production Workers are responsible for the care and growth lifecycle of cannabis plants. A Production Worker performs tasks to support growing processes, including, but not limited to; cloning, trimming, and transplanting.

This is a hardworking, hands-on, rolls-up-your-sleeves environment emphasizing a team-oriented and collaborative style. It will be key for the candidate to embrace change and see past obstacles with a focus on solutions in the context of a company undergoing rapid growth and ongoing functional integration.

Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Supports the Plant Technicians and Team Leads in the overall plant care
• Perform all the tasks in the growing process according to the master schedule including cloning, transplanting and waste disposal
• Manage and account for all inventory and supplies
• Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to maintain compliance with FIGR and Health Canada regulations
• Participate in the company health and safety program and comply with all health and safety related policies and processes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Managing and proactively solving any production issues that may occur

Candidate Profile:

• Secondary education or equivalent experience is required
• Horticulture/agriculture education or experience is considered a strong asset
• Must be comfortable working in, or willing to acclimatize to, extreme temperatures (greenhouse environment)
• Be physically able to perform the duties of the position; including: standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 50lbs), and sitting on a regular basis
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and safely in a group environment
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• A criminal records check will be required after job offer is communicated
• All employees must be 19+

Additional Information:
Wages: $17.00 per hour
Status: Full-Time, Permanent Position
Schedule: Shiftwork (Early mornings, Days, Weekends, Holidays)

Environment: Greenhouse environment (30+ degrees/55+ humidity)
