Company DescriptionSummary: Reporting to Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will follow standard work procedures and ensure safety, quality, and productivity expectations in a fast paced, unionized, manufacturing environment.Objective: ensure efficiency of production process in meeting quality, output, and safety targets by monitoring processes and employee performance.Direct Reports: 30-35 unionized production employeesKey Contacts

• Burlington Staff – Plant Manager, Production Mgr, HR Mgr, Supervisors, hourly employees

Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Safety

• Ensure all employees are adhering to safe work procedures established
• Conduct weekly Safety management audits
• Lead 5 why investigations
• Conduct monthly safety training

Quality

• Assist Set-Up and Operators with identifying and solving quality issues
• Work with Quality Manager to solve quality issues
• Ensure employees are meeting their test/reading requirements

Employee Management

• Responsible for daily editing of employee timecards using ADP Workforce Now
• Daily scheduling of employees into hourly rotation
• Coaching employees on job performance
• Actively involved in discipline process with HR and Union
• Actively involved in investigations

QualificationsQualifications:Educational/Experience/Skills

• College diploma in Manufacturing, Operations or Science program
• Minimum 5 years experience in unionized lean manufacturing setting
• Superior analytical skills
• Ability to drive and organize own work
• solid motivational, communication, and coaching skills
• Ability to work on a weekly rotating shift schedule of days, afternoons, nights with the potential of 12 hour continental shift work.
• College diploma in Manufacturing, Operations or Science program
• Minimum 5 years experience in unionized lean manufacturing setting
• Superior analytical skills
• Ability to drive and organize own work
• Solid motivational, communication, and coaching skills
