Mission

The Product Manager will play an integral role within the Client Solutions Group. This individual will lead a variety of strategic and tactical initiatives tied to messaging, positioning and planning for the firm’s equity strategies, and act as point person for assigned portfolio management teams. The ideal candidate is a professional, articulate. solutions-oriented “go-getter”, with a deep understanding of retail and institutional channels and markets, who enjoys and thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

Product Positioning and Messaging

Ensure clear and differentiated product positioning and consistent messaging
    • Develop core positioning and channel specific positioning tools
    • Partnering with Channel Management, drive content development, coordinate usage and monitor results (pitch books, web, new product materials, RFP responses)
    • Develop and disseminate regular insights and updates
    • Generate new content ideas for external use (thought leadership, videos, webcasts, quarterly calls, sales ideas, profiles)
    • Partner with marketing to help drive external programs and campaigns
Competitive Intelligence

Know where we stand; identify opportunities
    • Analyze and report on performance, flows and trends
    • Maintain deep understanding of key competitors for focus strategies by channel/vehicle; high level reporting across strategies and universes
    • Monitor competitive environment, positioning and opportunities (e.g., PM change at competitor) and alert coverage teams
    • Evaluate and communicate competitiveness of offering on a regular basis
Sales and Client Support

Help distribution and coverage teams capture ‘fair share’ of net flow
    • Deliver product training and product updates; ensure product message is delivered consistently
    • Respond to questions, provide ad-hoc analyses
    • Manage client feedback loop with PM teams – positioning, messaging and changing client demands
    • Monitor usage of product-specific marketing materials
    • Act as proxy for PM team for select client interactions as appropriate
