Position Summary

As a Product Manager, you are a technical expert on our unique products and maintain relationships with customers and key partners who integrate Matrox’s solutions in their applications and devices. Collaborating closely with the Product Management team, you will have a direct impact on the advancement of our company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales force in the evaluation of customer applications;
• Train and educate sales related employees and partners on new products, evolution of existing products, competing and complementary products (i.e. sales conferences, etc.);
• Research customer requirements for new products (i.e. sales calls, trade shows, surveys, etc...);
• Actively maintain knowledge and examine competition & competing technologies;
• Research evolution and development of complementary technologies;
• Evaluate requirements and produce marketing specifications for new products;
• Supervise new product development and introduction;
• Seek and investigate new market opportunities;
• Work with the Sales and Marketing Communications departments to produce marketing and sales materials;
• Work with the Director of Product Management to specify, organize and supervise development of trade show demonstrations;
• Participate in the development of industry standards;
• Handle third-party relationships.
  

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer science;
• Two or more years of work experience in a field related to studies;
• A highly motivated, team player, with exceptional interpersonal skills;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English, and knowledge of French (spoken and written);
• Experience in industrial automation, specifically machine vision, and product management experience considered an asset.
