Product Data Specialist - MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain all the manufacturing product data. Product Master Data: Includes product identifiers, names, descriptions, classifications, and other attributes that uniquely define a product.

Item Master Files:Centralized repository of all item data, including part numbers, descriptions, supplier details, costs, selling prices, lead times, MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities), etc. Bills of Materials (BoMs):

Detailed lists of raw materials, parts, assemblies, and their quantities needed to manufacture a product. BoMs must be properly structured and properly indented to reflect assembly and sub-assembly levels.Routings: Instructions that define the production or assembly path, with information about the operations, machines, tools, and sequence of work.Material and Product Specifications:Detailed descriptions of the material and product characteristics, like dimensions, physical properties, quality standards, etc.Cost Data: Information related to the cost of raw materials, components, labor, overhead, and other manufacturing costs.Work Center Data: Information about the machines, tools, and resources in each work center, their capacities, maintenance schedules, operating costs, etc.Manufacturing Lead Times:The time required for a product to move through the manufacturing process, from order to delivery.

  • Create and maintain product data in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with Industrial Engineer, Production Engineer, Product Development Engineer and Supply Chain Team to ensure continuous data integrity.
  • Ensure Manufacturing personnel adhere to the information provided by BoMs and Routings (production processes).
  • Collaborate with the CAD Technician to ensure product drawings are in line with the BoMs.
  • Responsible for accuracy of the manufacturing data (BoMs, Routings, Items Master File, etc.) in the ERP system.
  • Develop and maintain programs for all Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines.
  • Collaborate with CAD Technician and Production Engineer to ensure accuracy of CNC programing with respect to fabrication drawings.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Specialist and Production Engineer to maintain NAFS data in the ERP system.Qualification:
  • Technical Diploma (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial).
  • 5+ years directly related experience of Product Data Configuration/Management in the Manufacturing sector.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of Product Development process, Lean Manufacturing principles, Industrial Engineering and Quality Management Systems is an asset.
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming (Biesse B-Solid).
  • Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Detail oriented, organization skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-starting disposition.
  • Good communication skills (oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills).
