Reliable, trustworthy and fun Respite care worker required to work with our family of 3 children (17,14,13) with developmental disabilities.
- Experience with Autism, ODD , Anxiety and/or other needs
- A warm, friendly and supportive attitude.
- Ability to provide care and supervision according to the care plan which meets the individual child’s needs at a their home or community .
- Ability to provide support with activities of daily living such as morning, bedtime routines.
- Ability to provide learning opportunities and behavioural support.
- Applicants will be flexible and responsive and should have experience working with or caring for children.
- Work collaboratively with the professional team including families to ensure a supportive environment that enhances client care
- Experience with behavior management strategies and experience working with disabilities/ special needs is a definite asset.
- Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities will include:
- support the kids in a healthy lifestyle and encourage them to do activities together
- step in and follow safety plan when sibling fights begin
School Year and Summer Shifts will be split between multiple people.
During the school year shifts can be
- 6:45-8:45am Monday to Friday
- Monday, Tuesday Thursday 2:30-10pm
- Wednesdays 12:30-10pm
- Fridays 11:30am-10pm
- Need to be able to work during school breaks and holidays as well as throughout summer
- Every other weekends or one weekend a month (8-12 hour shifts per weekend day)
Summer hours look like:
- Monday & Friday: 10:00am-4:00pm or 4:00-10:00pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 10:0am-12:00pm & 12:00-8:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday both are 10-12 hours a day
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
Salary: $20.00-$23.95 per hour

- The position of an Behaviour Coach can involve working with students with severe behavioural challenges. Behaviours may include but are not limited to: severe opposition, hitting, kicking, spitting, biting, scratching, throwing of objects and the use of inappropriate and/or threatening language. Are you willing to work with students with severe behavioural challenges?
- The position of an Behaviour Coach can involve students with complex medical needs this may include: physical limitations, assisting with OT/PT, feeding/tube feeding, and medication administration/monitoring. Are you willing to work with students with complex medical needs?
