Pricing Coordinator

Omnitrans is looking for a Pricing Coordinator to join the International Freight Team.

In this role you will be responsible for preparing pricing and providing rate support for Clients, Sales, Operations and Management in order to maximize our business development and growth opportunities. You will also be involved in leveraging systems and processes to enable continuous monitoring and maintenance of costs and sell rates.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and develop relationships with Agents, Carriers, Coloaders, and Truckers to keep pulse on the market and its impact to pricing;
• Monitor and maintain competitive buying and selling rates through benchmarking;
• Support business development initiatives by providing competitive and timely quotations;
• Quickly and accurately prepare ocean import quotes;
• Leverage system to ensure live bookings have valid quotes;
• Assist management in partner performance management by providing data and insight to rates and services.

• Provide positive internal and external client relationship experience;
• Understand client requirements in order to provide competitive and accurate quotations and adjust pricing approach as needed to drive profitability;
• Collaborate with internal teams to align on pricing strategy and maximize business potential with clients;
• Communicate market conditions to clients and internal teams to help them better understand situation and impact on rates and capacity.

About you:

• Education: Cegep or equivalent training in International Trade / Logistics;
• Ability to multitask, organize and teach;
• 2+ years of comparable experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is mandatory;
• Ability to negotiate and build strong trade relationships;
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to identify root causes and find win/win solutions;
• Strong communication and customer service skills;
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment;
• Bilingual (French & English), an asset.
