We work as a team in various venues across the region, so not only will you be learning new skills and earning a weekly wage plus commissions, but you’ll also meet some great like-minded people! You’ll receive ongoing training and be working alongside team leaders that can help you throughout the day.

You’ll be working at live events in retail establishments and other sites with heavy foot traffic. You’ll be engaging with shoppers to provide a positive customer experience while representing a specific brand/NPO. In addition to providing general customer service, you’ll also be helping our client acquire new long-term donors/customers each day.

Your main duties will include:

• Setting up and dismantling branded displays in retail locations or pop-up event sites
• Increasing brand awareness by representing the brands voice and personality at various events
• Providing customers with marketing materials, product information and other resources as needed
• Delivering an amazing, memorable customer experience using your creativity and people skills
• Acquiring new customers for our clients and processing sales/new donor transactions when appropriate
• Developing creative ways to enhance our trade shows, pop up shops and retail promotion events
• Working with our PR, sales & marketing team to learn and implement branding and marketing strategies at our events
• Monitoring customer feedback and tracking targets to ensure effective brand awareness

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of people (i.e., the public) Multi-lingual applicants are always encouraged!
• Customer service skills are essential though they don’t have to be linked to any specific customer-oriented work experience
• Sales skills are also important, but the sales we generate are “soft” sales based on conversations not strong-arming people into buying
• The ability to work independently and manage personal targets with little or no supervision
• Driven to achieve personal and professional goals with the work ethic to match
• The ability to think on your feet, solve problems and overcome challenges

It’s also important that you:

• Are 18+ years of age and have the right to work in Canada
• Can stand for long periods of time and work with customers face-to-face
• Can work flexible hours and days, including some weekends
• Can commute to/from our office in Vancouver, CA
