Gaming Laboratories is seeking a Power BI Developer to work on in our data analytics team creating and designing PowerBI reports that help drive and shape our business. As a PowerBI developer you will be working in our various data warehouses and systems both on premise and in Azure to create datasets and dashboards for the company. The Developer will also work closely with key stake holders in our various business units to understand requirements and transform those requirements into dashboards and reports. You will be working in environments including, but not limited to Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL, and Microsoft Azure.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Gather business requirements from key stakeholders
  • Create reports and dashboards based on stakeholder requirements
  • Create appropriate datasets
  • Preform QA testing to assure reports and dashboards are correct
  • Design and document an appropriate Microsoft data platform solution based on the defined information architecture, and functional and non-functional requirements of the stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise regarding the unique features and constraints of Power BI and related technologies.
  • Participate in development and design architecture.
  • Provide best practice recommendations relating to deployments and usage.
Education / Experience
  • Completion of an undergrad degree in Computer Science or a recognized equivalent.
  • Experience of Microsoft Power BI, DAX, SQL Database and Power Query or equivalent tools.
  • Experience in data integration (ETL/ELT) and data warehousing techniques (star schema).
  • Knowledge/Experience of Big Data techniques considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience developing data reports and dashboards.
