Job Description

We are currently looking for you to take on the role of Plant Planning Administrator / GMS Lead based out of our Oshawa Assembly plant.

Responsibilities
  • Support Functional Leader in the organization and running of the business (staff meetings, special assignments, etc.)
  • Execute the portfolio/business planning process
  • Manage and plan assignments along with priority goals and requirements in the preparation of difficult projects
  • Develop and maintain the project business cases (deliverables, benefits, timing)
  • Analyze execution of Functional initiatives versus the Functional Business plan
  • Interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data and recommend solutions to unusual problems
  • Manage the budgets and handle a variety of special assignments
  • Provide planning coordination initiatives involving the overall assembly plant
What You Will Do

Additional Job Description

General
  • Establish and administer the plant planning organization
  • Chair Planning meeting to discuss PTR plan and/or MVB build plans-coordinate with all stakeholders
  • Participate in ECR meetings to understand upcoming part changes and plan and manage changes through PTR process including trial runs
  • Review CR/DN’s (Change Requests and Decision Notices) with Program team in (PET) meetings
  • Communicate with other plants in areas of common concern such as product problems, facility needs, etc.
  • Develops model change/new program plans - Coordinate prototype and pilot builds; negotiate prototype/pilot vehicle content and quality with platform (as required)
  • Establish prototype/pilot build schedules (as required) including acceleration schedules
GMS
  • Support BIQ4 implementation across the plant
  • Support, coach and train the core team including Vizendo/SWE/Creform
  • Work closely with GMS champions to ensure an aligned workforce
