Job Purpose and Impact

The Plan Material Supervisor will lead and develop our team that plans, schedules and handles the raw materials inventories needed for production We seek a seasoned professional who will lead, advise and make decisions on all major material requirements planning activities for a medium-sized team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Review and analyze material requirements planning metrics targets.
  • Provide support and direction to ensure materials are sourced in alignment with the master production plan.
  • Provide support and direction to ensure appropriate data and inputs are used for material requirements planning.
  • Support team in handling material inventories to target levels and managing exceptions.
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
  • Responsible for managing all packaging, ingredient, and MRO spare parts and services for the Brampton plant, which includes purchasing, receipts, inventory management, and following up on any open/past due orders and assist resolving payment issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year of directly related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Four years of experience with at least two in material requirements planning, supply/inventory planning, master production planning or production scheduling
  • Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience
  • Strong communication skills – ability to work with all plant functions and suppliers
  • Strong inventory management skills with attention to detail and well organized
