The role of the Plant Manager is oversee and manager all operations of our Bradley Steel Division, ensuring it’s running as efficiently as possible and keeping internal and external customers satisfied.

You will bring expertise and experience in the areas of formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.

Competitive salary and will depend on level of experience.

This position reports to the VP - Farm King

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensure that both external and internal customers receive their orders on time at the best cost and quality
  • Review orders as they are received from outside sources to determine cost and delivery
  • Cost, setup and process all new parts from Farm King, Versatile and outside sources
  • Expedite orders as per customer requests or as they become due
  • Ensure that work flows smoothly on the plant floor
  • Process weekly production reports for Bradley division
  • Assign jobs to floor personnel based on production requirements
  • Supervise all floor staff, including truck drivers and shippers
  • Motivate the team, demonstrate and enforce high working standards
  • Plan all intercity deliveries between divisions
  • Daily scheduling and tracking of all flat decks and vans between divisions
  • Reviewing costs of intercity traffic
  • Hiring of office and plant staff
  • Completing projects from Head Office
  • Producing various levels of reporting for executive management
  • Reducing Inventory
  • Looking for new opportunities to make the plant and office more efficient and cost effective
  • Combination of office and production floor activities

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience manufacturing experience
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of plant management experience in manufacturing
  • Highly developed personal skills
  • Previous experience in creating and assessing KPI’s
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems adn extensive experience in reporting
  • An analytical mind able to quickly assess large amounts of information and data is very important, as is the ability to consider and evaluate the relationships between numerous factors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership, self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and determination skills are all needed
  • Ability to multitask while under pressure

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
