The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for a Personal Trainer to deliver high quality services in the Conditioning Centre areas and applicable Group Fitness Classes. The Fitness Trainer will provide active supervision of the Conditioning Centre and its patrons, provide fitness services to members and role model customer service excellence at all times.

Position Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative duties related to members; Fitness Consultations, Fitness Assessments, Individual Program Designs, Personal Training etc. effectively and in a timely manner. Responds to phone calls, messages and emails in a timely manner.
  • Circulate and supervise activites in the Centre to ensure all members have a safe and enjoyable workout. Monitor members behaviour in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Child Protection Policy and Staff Abuse Policy. Act on issues that may arise to guarantee a positive experience for those in the Centre.
  • Always offer high quality customer service when working with members, engage with members and clients, develop positive relationships and offer suport. Work with them to help them reach their fitness goals.
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with volunteers and colleagues at all levers of the organization.

What You’ll Need for This Job

  • Post-Secondary Education in a related field
  • Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP - CPT)
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Standard First Aid & CPR
