Position: Heavy Equipment Technician

Location: Gatineau

Salary: $25 to $35 per hour based on experience

Job Type: Permanent

Shift: Monday to Friday, flexible schedule between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. (but must be 40 hours a week)

Benefits: Insurance after 3 months (life, medication, health, and vision), vacancy according to standards (but flexible to 3 weeks, 3 floating days, and 2 illness days), and RRSP 5%

Job Description

• Troubleshoot and estimate costs of repairs
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and adjustments of all heavy equipment following standards and procedures (Caterpillar, Hewitt and ISO)
• Complete different service reports related to this job
• Order parts
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma of vocational studies in heavy equipment mechanic combined to at least 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician
• Hewitt’s training program graduate, an asset
• Concern for a clean and safe working environment
• Good understanding of service manuals
• Knowledge of MS Office software and SAP
