As Payroll Lead, you will work as part of a team that processes payroll for over 1100 associates across our retail stores. In this role, you will report to the Director of Human Resources.

What you will do in this role…

Process pay for associates across Canada

  • Use your payroll experience to ensure compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies and procedures are met
  • Ensure all necessary required data is input into the payroll system to process payroll accurately
  • Produce payroll reports as required for analyzing business decisions as well as for month-end and year-end processes
  • Perform administrative related duties as required

  • A passion for people and processes, and the desire to learn new things
  • Technical savvy, especially excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills – written and interpersonal

And your qualifications include…

  • Must be an expert at excel and other Microsoft Office Programs
  • Must have understanding of working with an HRIS system; experience with Payworks an asset
  • Must understand employment standards compliance as it relates to processing payroll
  • Post-secondary education, ideally in an HR related field would be an asset
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) would be an asset
  • Prior accounting or finance experience would be an asset
